In September 2018, Rhobi and Janet were invited to host a mapathon at UNFPA headquarters in New York as part of the UN General Assembly.  Rhobi also told her story as an FGM survivor and activist at a high level event there.

In 2019 we were awarded $9000 from HOTOSM for the WomenConnect project, training digital champions in all 87 villages in Serengeti.  This is ongoing and we are expanding into Butiama in 2020.

In 2018 we were awarded the OpenStreetMap award for Africa.

In 2017 we were awarded a microgrant from Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team, and we organised the first ever State of the Map Tanzania.

Partnerships

We have set up Youthmapper chapters in 6 colleges.

We are active members of Missing Maps, London. 

In 2020 we were accepted as members of ESIP. And we are planning to use Earth Observation to help with reforestation projects andmuch more.
